পূর্ব বর্ধমান জেলার কালনা থানার অন্তর্গত বৈদ্যপুর গ্রামটি অত্যন্ত ঐতিহ্যশালী। এই গ্রামে নন্দী পরিবার বেশ কিছু উন্নত মানের মন্দির স্থাপত্যের সাথে যুক্ত ছিলেন। অষ্টাদশ শতাব্দীর মধ্যভাগ থেকে এই মন্দিরগুলি গড়ে উঠতে থাকে। বৃন্দাবন চন্দ্রের , মন্দির নবরত্ন শিব মন্দির , রাজরাজেশ্বরের মন্দির , রাস মঞ্চ , দোল মঞ্চ ইত্যাদি বিভিন্ন সময়ে এই পরিবারের কর্তা ব্যক্তিদের দ্বারা স্থাপিত হয়েছিল।
নন্দীদের প্রাসাদপম গৃহ , ঠাকুরবাড়ি এগুলি আজও বর্তমান। পোড়া মাটির ইট দিয়ে তৈরি টেরাকোটা শিল্পসমৃদ্ধ এই প্রাসাদ গুলি একসময় অনুপম ছিল। ক্ষয়প্রাপ্ত অবস্থা থেকেও এগুলি এখনো বোধগম্য হয়।
প্রাসাদের ভেতরে স্থাপিত, টেরাকোটা অলংকৃত মন্দির , রক্ষার আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা এখনো রয়েছে।
Baidyapur village under Kalna thana of Purba Burdwan district is very traditional. In this village, the Nandi family was associated with several high-quality temple architecture. These temples started to be built from the middle of the 18th century. The temples of Vrindavan Chandra, Navaratna Shiva Temple, Rajarajeshwar Temple, Ras Mancha, Dol Mancha etc. were established by the head of this family at different times. The Nandi's palace, Thakurbari are still present today.
These palaces, rich in terracotta art, made of burnt clay bricks, were once unique. Even in their deteriorated state, they are still recognizable.
There are still efforts to preserve the terracotta decorated temples set up inside the palaces.
