মাটি পুড়িয়ে ইট দিয়ে তৈরি টেরাকোটা শিল্পসমৃদ্ধ বাংলার গ্রামেগঞ্জে ছড়িয়ে থাকা অসংখ্য স্থাপত্য—সে মন্দির হোক বা মসজিদ বা অন্যান্য স্থাপত্য—কালের নিয়মে নষ্ট হয়ে যাচ্ছে। বহু নিদর্শন ইতিমধ্যেই নষ্ট হয়ে গেছে। টেরাকোটা আর্কাইভ সমস্ত স্থাপত্যসমূহ, যা বর্তমানে বিদ্যমান এবং অতীতেও ছিল, সেগুলির যথাসম্ভব তথ্য বৈদ্যুতিন আধারে সংরক্ষণ করার কাজ করছে।

The Terracotta Archive is dedicated to documenting and preserving as much information as possible regarding these structures, both extant and lost, within a comprehensive electronic database. This portal features detailed metadata and specific classifications, making Bengal’s heritage accessible to a global audience. To ensure wide-reaching impact, the archive is published simultaneously in Bengali and English and operates as a strictly non-profit, non-commercial initiative.

We recognize that many dedicated individuals are by now deeply involved in documenting this heritage, sharing their findings through books, blogs, and social media groups. The Terracotta Archive aims to serve as a centralized hub for these invaluable efforts.

How to Contribute
